Thanks to the 300-some riders and table volunteers and all our donors, the chapter has been able to raise $8,750 thus far for people with disabilities for 72 hours starting Wednesday and ending on Saturday.
The event was the 11th Annual David Feltner Memorial Bike-a-Thon that honors Feltner who died of cancer in 2011 while an undergraduate student at Purdue. He was heavily involved in Ability Experience programming and was in the first group of chapter members who volunteered at special needs classes at a local high school.
We are still accepting donations to the bike-a-thon. You can use the following link:
Also, you may donate through the chapter’s Venmo account at @ABEXpurdue.
The Pi Kappa Phi chapter at Purdue wishes to thank all of you who supported and in many cases your sons who participated in the bike-a-thon. Without this tremendous support, we could not have raised so much money for the Ability Experience and assisting people with disabilities locally and nationally.
