Adults with disabilities were the winners of Wednesday night’s Second Chance Prom as contestants from various organizations partnered with the fraternity and a campus group for a night of fun.
The Second Chance Prom gives people with disabilities to have a prom that they didn’t have in high school. For two nearly hours, nearly 100 Purdue students from the 15 participating groups in this year’s War of the Roses competition, Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and Best Buddies-Purdue danced, sang, visited with each other and had snacks at the Bauer Center in Lafayette.
The event was the last prior to the 6 p.m., Thursday capstone event – a talent show featuring the 14 sororities and 1 women’s cooperative – to be held in Purdue’s Loeb Playhouse in Stewart Center.
