With the sound of the 6 p.m. bell ringing on the Purdue campus, the campus began the 12th Annual David Feltner 72-Hour Memorial Bike-a-Thon on Wednesday.
Chapter members will be raising money for The Ability Experience, the outreach project of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity benefitting people with disabilities locally and nationally. The event will lead up to, and finish at, the Saturday’s Centennial celebration in the Purdue Memorial Union’s North Ballroom in front of more than 300 attendees.

The bike-a-thon honors chapter brother Feltner who died from a rare form cancer in 2011 while an undergraduate member of the chapter. Feltner was very involved in Ability Experience programming and fund-raising when he was a student.
