Once again, Pi Kappa Phi ranked among the elite fraternities in Spring 2023 statistics released recently by the Purdue Fraternity, Sorority and Cooperative Life division of the Dean of Students.
Consider the following:
- Pi Kappa Phi was the only Purdue fraternity out of 40 chapters to be ranked in the Top 10 of each of the four statistical areas
- No. 2 in philanthropic fund raising with $24,322 with the community average being $70.60 per member (Pi Kappa Phi $172.50)
- No. 5 in membership with 141 with the average fraternity size being 83 (only 14 fraternities had 100 or more members)
- No. 5 in community service hours with 1,123, the average community service hours per member was 5.4 (Pi Kappa Phi was 8.0 hours per member)
- No. 9 in average chapter GPA with a 3.29, highest among fraternities with 135 members with the average fraternity GPA at 3.14
Pi Kappa Phi sets academics, service and leadership as its top priorities when seeking new members. It is the most honored chapter in Purdue history being named the top fraternity at Purdue in 10 of the last 16 years.

A total of 11 members earned a 4.0 GPA in the spring, 8.1% of the 136 on the grade list* while 93 had a 3.0 or higher, 68.4%. Furthermore, 62 members were on the dean’s list and/or semester honors, 45.6%.
* There were 136 members calculated in the GPA, the remaining 5 members were either studying abroad, on a co-op or completing a dissertation and did not take classes in the spring.
