The 13th Annual David Feltner 72-Hour Memorial Bike-a-Thon was completed on Sept. 30 just prior to Purdue’s dominating homecoming win over Illinois with the chapter raising $7,545 for people with disabilities.
Up to three stationary bikes were ridden for nearly 200 hours and other volunteers worked nearly 100 others manning a donation table over the course of three days that started at 1 p.m. on Sept. 27. During that time chapter members, alumni, guests and a staff member of The Ability Experience rode bikes.
The event is named after Feltner who died in 2011 of a rare form of soft tissue cancer while an undergraduate fraternity member. Feltner was very involved in the chapter’s annual fund-raising and programming for The Ability Experience, the national fraternity’s outreach program for people with disabilities.

We most sincerely thank the fraternity volunteers, alumni and guests as well as financial supporters of Pi Kappa Phi’s efforts!
