Pi Kappa Phi continues to set the standard among Purdue’s 40 fraternities. It remains the only chapter to be in the Top 10 of each of the four statistical categories compiled by the University, according to the most recent statistics.
Here is how Pi Kappa Phi, 330 N. Grant St., ranks in those categories:
- No. 2 in community service hours with 1,896, the all-fraternity average was 540 in the spring
- No. 3 in philanthropic fund-raising at $18,662, average was $5,697
- No. 5 in size with 174 members, average was 90
- No. 8 in grades with a 3.24 GPA, average was 3.17 and Pi Kappa Phi was No. 1 among the chapters with 150 members or more
Among individual chapter member grades, the following was true:
- 73.9% of the membership had a 3.0 GPA or higher in the spring
- 44.7% achieved academic honors
- 8.7% had a perfect 4.0
Pi Kappa Phi prides itself in being the best chapter. In fact, in was given the 2023 RB Stewart Award in April 2024 as the top fraternity at Purdue. It was the 11th such recognition in the last 15, an unprecedented achievement.
The chapter stands on three principles – academics, leadership and service – and seeks potential members who have achieved in those areas previously or strive to be among the best now. So, if you have been a valedictorian, a national Merit finalist or semifinalist, graduated from high school with honors, athletic team captain, elected to a leadership role such as class president or on the student council, been part of a community service project or especially worked with people with disabilities, talk to us.
