In what is probably the warmest day left in 2023, chapter members assisted a local agency for people with disabilities in a park near the Purdue campus.
Six fraternity guys joined clients of Life Has No Boundaries, a local non-profit, at Tommy Johnson Park for sidewalk drawing, basketball and Uno on Nov. 16 for more than an hour amid temperatures in the low 60s. The adults with disabilities eyes light up when the fraternity volunteers show up each week.
Pi Kappa Phi established partnerships with local agencies in 2007 and have been doing such since then. The volunteering is part of the chapter’s commitment to The Ability Experience, the national fraternity’s outreach program raising funds and awareness for people with disabilities.
