At the January 2025, Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers, the chapter was recognized with three awards. They included:
- Founders Award
- Ability Experience Outstanding Volunteer Relationship Award
- Ability Experience Star of Hope Award
- Outstanding Governance Award
The Founders Award recognition honors the most outstanding chapters in the nation – those that go above and beyond high standards in leadership, service and personal responsibility. “These chapters exemplify what it means to live out the values of Pi Kappa Phi,” according to descriptions by the national fraternity. It is the fifth time the chapter has been so highly recognized in the last 15 years.
The Outstanding Volunteer Relationship Award honors chapters that have an ongoing partnership with a local organization that serves people with disabilities. The Omega chapter consistently works alongside Life Has No Boundaries, a Lafayette area non-profit that assists adults with daytime care. It was the sixth time in the last 22 years the chapter won this award.
The Star of Hope Award recognizes the chapter with the best Ability Experience programming and fund raising. Chapter members raised a record $35,146 in 2024 Since 1980, they have raised $385,424. In addition to the organizations noted in the Outstanding Volunteer Relationship Award, chapter members hold the David Felltner 72-Hour Memorial Bike-a-Thon, a Halloween-themed costume party for people with disabilities, the War of the Roses competition and Second Chance Prom for people with disabilities each school year. It was the fourth time the chapter has received such recognition in the last 15 years, including the last two in a row.
The Outstanding Governance Award honors chapters that consistently complete all national organization reporting in a timely and complete fashion. It was the second time in the last four years that the chapter was the winner.
