More than 75 Pi Kappa Phi members joined another Purdue group to celebrate Halloween with people with special needs for more than two hours on Oct. 30 in Lafayette.
It was the 10th year that the fraternity co-sponsored “Arctoberfest” alongside Best Buddies-Purdue. The event benefits the Arc of Tippecanoe, a local chapter of a national agency assisting people with disabilities nationwide.
On Saturday night, more than 150 people danced the Macarena, line danced and did other fun things in what is the Arc’s single-largest fund-raiser annually.
Pi Kappa Phi judges recognized the Arc clients’ scariest, funniest, most creative and best overall costumes to the delight of the crowd.
