Those interested in potentially joining a Purdue fraternity should note that Sunday kicks off a three- or four-week new member recruitment period for the fall semester.
The Fall 2021 “Meet the Greeks” will be held from noon to 4 p.m., Sunday in the mall adjacent to the Krach Leadership Center. Then from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Pi Kappa Phi will host an informal meet and greet event at the chapter house, 330 N. Grant St.
Representatives from the 40+ fraternity chapters along with 20+ sororities will be available for informal discussions about their organizations. Oftentimes, prospective new members will be asked to fill out an interest form with biographical information.
Pi Kappa Phi will have brothers there too to answer your questions or just to visit. You can fill out an interest form there or online prior to, or after Sunday’s large gathering.
You can also fill out the online form on pulldown recruitment tab on this website.
Fraternities all may look similar but they are not necessarily in various ways. For example, some chapters are centered around certain majors or academic fields. There are two chapters that seek agriculture majors and two others focus on engineers. There are some that are based on a specific faith background, too. Some emphasize athletics others on social.
Pi Kappa Phi will be seeking guys who are looking for guys who seek to excel in academics, service and leadership. We invite prospective new members to experience what sets Pi Kappa Phi apart from the others.
If you cannot make it to Meet the Greeks or Pi Kappa Phi’s meet and greet recruitment event afterwards, there are other opportunities over the next three weeks. A calendar of events can be found HERE or you can use the pulldown recruitment tab from our webpage (www.purduepikapps.com).
