Harrison Keith, a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio who earned a BS in aeronautical and astronautical engineering in December, was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force on Dec. 19.
Keith was one of six Purdue ROTC graduates who took the military oath that day. He will be a developmental engineer for the Air Force.
His great uncle, Capt. Henry Rowan Saufley III a retired Army National Guard member, administered the oath of office for him in front of family, his military commanders and fellow new officers. His parents, Timothy and Jennifer Keith were joined by his brother Zachary, in pining his military rank on his uniform.
In his comments, Keith thanked his family, his instructors and his Pi Kappa Phi brothers for assisting him along the way.
