Five chapter members played various games with people with disabilities at Lafayette’s McAllister Center for nearly two hours on Jan. 14.
Games included air hockey, billiards and basketball alongside clients of Life Has No Boundaries, a day service for adults with disabilities. Chapter members volunteer several days per week with various outings and classroom settings.
The effort brings home the mission of The Ability Experience, Pi Kappa Phi’s national outreach program to assist people with disabilities nationally and locally.
The Purdue chapter of the fraternity is coming off an all-time record of $58,736 in fund raising for The Ability Experience. Since 1980, the chapter has raised $444,160 with a portion of that money going to local agencies in the Lafayette area.
