Once again, Pi Kappa Phi is the only Purdue fraternity to rank in the Top 10 of each statistical category by the university last semester.
Here’s how Pi Kappa Phi stood in the spring semester 2026 statistics among Purdue’s 39 fraternity chapters:
- No. 2 in total membership with 171, fraternity average size being 97
- No. 3 in philanthropic dollars raised with $19,610 for $114.68 per man average, compared to $49.07/member community average
- No. 6 in grades with 3.36 average, fraternity average was 3.23 and all men’s average was 3.24
- No. 10 in philanthropic hours with 1,032, for 6 hours per man average
More than a decade ago when Purdue started compiling four ranking categories – size, dollars raised, grades and service house – Pi Kappa Phi has been the only chapter to be in the Top 10 in each of them.
Individually, here’s how our membership stacked up:
- 13 guys with a 4.0 semester GPA, 7.6%
- 88 guys with semester honors and/or dean’s list, 51.5%
- 103 guys at 3.0 or higher, 60.2%
Pi Kappa Phi prides itself in seeking men who achieve in three key areas – academics, service and leadership. Accordingly, we seek the top 10% of high school class rankings, those who have done community service – particularly if they have worked with people with disabilities – and either athletic team captains or high school class officers.
We are very selective during each semester’s recruitment periods, oftentimes offering invitations to the membership to less than 10% of the guys who go through our fall recruitment (aka rush) process.
So, if you are a national merit finalist or semifinalist (or graduated in the top of your class), been a community volunteer or an appointed or elected leader, Pi Kappa Phi might be a good fit for both of us.
