More than 100 people participated in the second event of the annual War of Roses competition on Monday– a games night for people with special needs.
Pi Kappa Phi partnered with Best Buddies-Purdue and the Arc of Tippecanoe to host various table games for two hours in a room on the Purdue campus. It marks the second event in the annual War of Roses competition.
Throughout this week, contestants can volunteer with chapter members in classes for people with special needs. On Wednesday sheet signs from the participating sororities and women’s cooperatives will be displayed and then later that evening a trivia competition will occur.
On Friday, the annual War of Roses will culminate with a talent show in Loeb Playhouse. Tickets can be purchased through the various participating organizations or at the door.
All the events raise awareness and money for people with disabilities alongside Pi Kappa Phi’s national outreach project, The Ability Experience.
